Dra. Ana Santos Quiñones has earned her reputation as one of the most trusted and successful bariatric surgeons through her extensive education, training, and recognition. After graduating from the University of Puerto Rico with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, she went on to earn her medical degree from the campus’ School of Medicine. To further her education and qualifications, Dra. Santos Quiñones completed her graduate medical education in general surgery in 2001 at the University of Illinois at Chicago’s College of Medicine.

Maricellie Peréz Tristani – Dietitian

Maricellie Peréz Tristani is the dietitian at Hospital Menonita de Cayey and for Dra. Santos Quiñones’ Institute for Advanced Surgery and Obesity Control. She received her Bachelor of Science in nutrition and dietetics in 1986 from the University of Puerto Rico and has gone on to hold numerous positions. She is also a member of Colegio de Nutricionistas y Dietistas de Puerto Rico.

Harold Pola Rodríguez, M.D. – Pneumologist

Harold Pola Rodríguez graduated with his medical degree from Universidad Central del Este in 1983 and has since gone on to hold various positions. Currently, he serves as the pneumologist at Hospital Menonita de Cayey. He is also a member of Colegio de Médicos Cirujanos de Puerto Rico, the American Thoracic Society, and the American Association for Respiratory Care.

Vivian R. Pastrana, M.D. – Psychiatrist

Vivian Pastrana is currently the Director of Psychiatry at Hospital Menonita de Cayey. She received her pre-med degree at the University of Puerto Rico in 1996 and went on to the Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine to receive her medical degree in 2000. From there, she went on to the Mount Sinai School of Medicine of New York University to take part in the Cabrini Program. She is a member of various medical societies, including the American Psychiatry Association, American Medical Association, and the Puerto Rico Medical Association.

Sandra I. Vázquez Gali, M.D. – Internal Medicine Specialist

Sandra Vázquez Gali is a staff physician at Hospital Menonita de Cayey and the specialist in internal medicine at the Institute for Advanced Surgery and Obesity Control. She earned her degree in general science in 1989 from the University of Puerto Rico and then went on to earn her medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico’s School of Medicine. In 1997, she was board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
